Description
- This is an old shrine that is said to have been built about 1900 years ago, and has been designated as one of Tokyo’s top ten shrines.
- The 1,000 torii gates of Otome Inari Shrine attached to the grounds create a mystical atmosphere.
- It is also known as a famous spot for azaleas, and the Bunkyo Azalea Festival is held in spring.

It is somewhat difficult to move around because of the stone steps and thresholds. The area around Senbon Torii is particularly hilly.

Access
There are three entrances: the south exit (Omote sando), the west exit, and the north exit. The south exit is closest to Toudaimae Station (Metro Namboku Line), and the north exit is closest to Sendagi Station (Metro Chiyoda Line). Both are about 10 minutes walk from the station.
