[058]Sunamachi Ginza Shopping Street (Sunamachi Ginza Shoten-gai)

Description

  • One of the most famous shopping streets in Tokyo, approximately 670 meters long.
  • These are all shops that are closely tied to the local area, such as traditional greengrocers, delicatessen stores, clothing stores, etc.
  • Pedestrians and bicycles are constantly passing through the narrow streets, so you need to be aware of your surroundings when sightseeing.

Reviews by situation

“Relaxing alone” Recommended: 3 /4 points

There are many pedestrians, but they are not separated from cyclists, so you need to be careful at all times.

“Having fun with the kids” Recommended: 1 /4 points

We don’t think it’s very popular with children.

“Getting into the mood on a date” Recommended: 1 /4 points

It’s not very accessible for a date, and the selection of shops seems a bit plain.

“Getting along with friends” Recommendation level: 3 /4 points

You can visit with friends and enjoy eating and drinking.

It’s a fairly cheap price range in Tokyo.

The shops close to the izakaya are open until late at night.

The nearest train stations are Minami Sunamachi Station (Metro Tozai Line), Oshima Station (Toei Shinjuku Line), and Nishi-Ojima Station (Toei Shinjuku Line), all of which take about 15 minutes on foot.
For this reason, we recommend taking the bus, but there are two nearest bus stops: Kitasuna 2-chome Bus Station and Kitasuna 7-chome Bus Station. Kitasuna 2-chome Bus Station runs from Kinshicho Station, Ryogoku Station, Kameido Station, Monzen-Nakacho Station, Shinkiba Station, etc., and Kitasuna 7-chome Bus Station runs from Kameido Station and Toyocho Station.
