Description
- It is also called the former Asakanomiya residence because it was built by King Asakanomiya Hatohiko, uncle of Emperor Showa’s empress, and lived there until he renounced the imperial status.
- The interior uses the Art Deco style (symbolic expressions using geometric shapes as motifs) that was popular at the time, and is said to be of good quality and well-preserved.
- In addition to the main building, there is a tea room, warehouse, garage, etc., all of which have been designated as important national cultural properties.
