Overview
Here is a list of all the fireworks festivals to be held in the 23 wards of Tokyo in 2024. The earliest one will be in June, and the latest in October.
1. STAR ISLAND 2024, Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd, 2024
After the Tokyo Bay Fireworks Festival was postponed, the organizers and dates of the Odaiba Fireworks Festival have varied from year to year, and the 2025 date is completely undecided.
2. Adachi Fireworks, Saturday, July 20th, 2024
This is the forerunner of Tokyo’s summer fireworks festivals. Approximately 13,000 fireworks will be launched in one hour.

3. Katsushika Summer Fireworks Festival, Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024
The launch site is close to the viewing area, making this a realistic fireworks festival. The first one was held in 1953, and it has a history of more than half a century.

4. Sumida River Fireworks Festival, Saturday, July 27th, 2024
This is the oldest fireworks festival in Japan, which has been held since the Edo period. This is Tokyo’s largest fireworks festival, with approximately 20,000 fireworks launched from two launch sites.

5. Itabashi Fireworks Festival, Saturday, August 3rd, 2024
This is a fireworks festival that launches the largest fireworks in Tokyo, the “13.5 cm fireworks”. It will be held in conjunction with the Todabashi Fireworks Festival on the opposite bank.

6. Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival, Saturday, August 10, 2024
This fireworks festival will be held in the city center, with multiple large venues such as Jingu Stadium. Live performances by famous artists will also be held before the fireworks festival.

7. Edogawa Ward Fireworks Festival, Saturday, August 24, 2024
This fireworks festival, with approximately 14,000 fireworks set off to background music, attracted the most spectators in Japan in 2009. It will be held jointly with the Ichikawa City Summer Fireworks Festival on the opposite bank.

8. Kita Ward Fireworks Festival, Saturday, September 28, 2024
This is a relatively new fireworks festival that began in 2012, but it is famous as Tokyo’s autumn fireworks festival.

This is the latest fireworks festival to be held in the 23 wards of Tokyo, and approximately 12,000 fireworks will be launched. It will be held jointly with the Kawasaki City Foundation Memorial Tamagawa Fireworks Festival on the opposite bank.
