Access
There are three entrances: the south exit (Omote sando), the west exit, and the north exit. The south exit is closest to Toudaimae Station (Metro Namboku Line), and the north exit is closest to Sendagi Station (Metro Chiyoda Line). Both are about 10 minutes walk from the station.
Main limited-time events
The Bunkyo Azalea Festival is held from the end of March to the end of April, when the azaleas in the park bloom in full glory. The Pinwheel Festival is held throughout July and August, and the approach to the shrine is decorated with many pinwheels.
