  • One of the most famous shopping streets in Tokyo, approximately 670 meters long.
  • These are all shops that are closely tied to the local area, such as traditional greengrocers, delicatessen stores, clothing stores, etc.
  • Pedestrians and bicycles are constantly passing through the narrow streets, so you need to be aware of your surroundings when sightseeing.

Reviews by situation

“Relaxing alone” Recommendation score: 6 /10

Sunamachi Ginza Shopping Street is an old-fashioned shopping street that continues to be the basis of local residents’ lives. The narrow streets are used by many pedestrians and cyclists, so you need to walk carefully.

“Kids will love it” Recommendation score: 2 /10

Compared to other food spots, there is a higher proportion of bento boxes and prepared foods than snacks and sweets, so it doesn’t seem to be very suitable for children.

“As a date” Recommendation score: 3 /10

It’s not a good spot for a date.

“Fun with friends” Recommendation score: 4 /10

You might visit with friends if you want to get to know an old-fashioned shopping street and enjoy the atmosphere.

For this reason, we recommend taking the bus, but there are two nearest bus stops: Kitasuna 2-chome Bus Station and Kitasuna 7-chome Bus Station.
